Leadership Training

Leadership training for managers is a crucial component of developing effective leaders within your organization. Managers can learn key leadership concepts such as communication skills, emotional intelligence, resilience, and managing priorities. Effective leadership training can also help managers understand their own leadership style and how to adapt it to different situations and team dynamics. By investing in leadership training, managers can build the skills and confidence necessary to lead their teams to success and drive positive outcomes for the organization as a whole.

Based on your organization’s needs and leadership experiences and levels, we can provide varying lengths of programs through our modular training courses. We customize the content depending on whether you have new managers or experienced leaders. Many courses are self-study in an e-learning format, though we’ve found that the most effective development programs include some live training or facilitation. Develop emerging leaders from within your organization and grow a sustainable organization by aligning your team to best execute the strategic plans.

Working with MindTeam Solutions (MTS) has provided me with the tools to be more successful in my role as the Divisional Manager. It has helped me lead people in a way that is impactful to the company and to our employees. I learned so much about my own emotions and reactions to my emotions. Once I could more easily recognize how I was feeling about a certain situation, it became easier for me to react to it in a more thoughtful and tactful way.  

My coach, Jenn, helped me identify my core values as an individual, which has helped me guide my decisions as a leader. I have gained so much more confidence because of the understanding I have about myself and my decisions. I have also been able to pass on what I’ve learned as well as some of the tools, videos, and whitepapers to my management team and a larger group of employees. 

Going into this coaching arrangement, I really wasn’t sure what to expect. I met with Jenn and from my first meeting, she made me feel safe. I had a comfort level that made me feel like I could trust her. For the first several meetings, we really started to dig into some of the difficult situations I was facing as a manager. I felt like she was listening and genuinely cared what I was telling her. 

She would provide feedback and guidance without judgment. That’s not to say she agreed with me about everything. During our time together, any feedback she gave me about situations was constructive and did not feel condescending, even when it was something I didn’t necessarily want to hear. Jenn was very flexible with scheduling and worked with me on a cadence that fit into my schedule. I looked forward to our coaching sessions every time we met, and I always left with a sense of excitement about my personal growth as well as my professional development.

My communication has improved with my direct supervisor, direct reports, and our entire organizational chart from top to bottom. One of the biggest changes we made as an organization over the past year was to start having quarterly town hall meetings with our entire staff. This has improved communication, teamwork, and attitude across the organization. One of the biggest benefits I found personally was the ability to identify my mindset when I approach any situation. By understanding my mindset, I’m able to improve how I go into any situation. Overall, after my coaching agreement with Jenn at MTS I:

Executive Coaching

Depending on assessment findings and your organization’s strategic needs, one-on-one executive coaching may be a solution for key leaders. This personalizes content and development areas to the individual. Each individual in the program is matched with an executive coach who suits that individual’s needs. People are different and respond to different coaching perspectives, communication styles, and modes of processing information. Based on your business objectives and the individual’s commitment and goals, coaches reinforce leadership principles, help leaders communicate more effectively on a 360-degree continuum, and guide them to making better overall decisions .

Typical coaching engagements begin with a 6-month commitment which is enough time to effect incremental and observable change. Yet this period of time is finite enough that the process will require intentional and focused effort by the people engaged in the process. The first phase is discovery where initial introductions and ground rules are set. From there we move into the assessments and 360 interviews for those this applies to. At this point we take that initial feedback to formalize a personal coaching plan. This includes at least one formal monthly meeting (more at the beginning), and addresses ad hoc needs via email/phone/text as agreed upon by coach and individual.

Management Development Idea MindTeam®

Leaders will develop emotional intelligence, communication, and collaboration competencies naturally through facilitating and participating in these Idea MindTeam® groups. However, our differentiation with this program is that personnel on leadership tracks not only learn leadership competencies, they also put these skills into practice with peers and others with whom they don’t directly report to.

Based on your strategic goals, we will work with you to create high performance groups designed with a purpose. These facilitator-led internal mastermind groups are for people to voice ideas and challenges. In these regular sessions, leaders are able to tap into each other as resources across departments. Letting each group work together through issues builds a positive workplace, promotes individual growth, and moves business initiatives forward.
