[:28] Mark is here to discuss his “Renewal and Replacement System”.
[1:35] DEEPER WHY – We have precious fuel that we need to conserve. We only have so much energy capacity, our thoughts and actions expend our energy.
[2:25] If you don’t conserve your energy, then you’re burned out at the end of the day. If work
[3:40] Is what I’m doing GIVING me energy or TAKING away?
[5:10] Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs:
[6:39] LIFE MISSION at the Top.
[7:10] WHY – We need as much of our fuel and energy as possible to accomplish what we need to in life.
[9:00] You can’t work on everything at the same time.
[11:10] A toxic relationship is a DRAIN that will suck out all of your energy.
[12:30] A CHOKE POINT is a LEAK, in smaller amounts of energy loss than a drain.
[15:33] This comes at a big energy cost. How much did you lose? 30 secs x twice a day x per/person x 356 = A LOT!
[16:15] STACKING STRESS is when things pile on top which drains even more energy.
[17:45] A case for nurture in the nature vs nurture debate; IMPRESSIONS are critically important. Impressions are everything and anything we experience.
[19:00] How our environment looks and feels plays a role in the experience.
[24:00] RAGE is uncontrolled, or better said, non released build up of adrenaline in the body. It’s from a build up of layers of stress that weren’t taken down, and then stacked on top.
[29:18] STRESS is a lack of the release of this adrenaline in the body. We’re drained when we don’t neutralize it.
[31:00] We need to manage ourselves to be as productive and effective as possible.
[31:30] We vigilant and protective of our fuel.
[32:00] Too much on our plates. We need more time to process, think, and decide. Then act.
[34:00] We get input and then make a decision. There is conscious action, and unconscious action which is referred to as a “reaction”.
[38:21] Unconscious inaction is when we forget to do something, we just dropped the ball.
[39:00] Most important thing is that we have power over these mechanisms.
[39:58] We only live once, and we only have so much time. Why not make the best of it, live a positive life. It’s worth it and it’s possible. Life doesn’t just happen, you have some control.
[41:50] Live MINDFULLY.
[43:00] Bottom line is that these are all tools to actually and practically as well as mentally and physically overcome things that suck our energy and old us back.
